About
Erik Granum
Erik is a builder and innovator with a passion for discovering the best ways to design and construct places to live. His professional life began after college, with an eleven-year career in the Navy as an officer and naval aviator. Having spent much of his free time renovating investment properties, he followed up his tenure in the service with a return to higher education, earning master's degrees in business and real estate development in preparation for entering the real estate development industry. He spent four years managing cohousing projects at Urban Development Partners in Portland, Oregon. From there, he moved into a role at Brookfield Residential Properties, managing the development of Oregon's largest master-planned community, Reed's Crossing, in the city of Hillsboro.Despite the many places he has lived, Erik was raised in Portland and never quite felt settled elsewhere. He moved back in 2019, and now he, his wife, two kids, and two cats call Oregon home. He's a board member at his local Habitat for Humanity affliate, a board member of the Portland Streetcar, Inc., and a member of his high school's alumni council (Catlin Gabel).Driven by curiousity and an eagerness to curate new and better ways of creating housing, Erik leans on his broad skillset and tempered work ethic to successfully shepherd developments from inception through construction and sign off. He's proud to be leading Porchswing Development and excited to bring outstanding projects to the Pacific Northwest.Education:
